New Year’s Eve String Trio With Trumpet Wedding

New Year’s eve in Boston is a magical time to get married.

After all, people will always party on your anniversary and you can count on a fireworks display at midnight!

Meghan and Brian had a Scottish themed ceremony. A bagpiper serenaded arriving guests into St John’s Episcopal Church in Charlestown and the groom wore a kilt, even though it was cold. Our string trio (with trumpet) played prelude music while the guests waited for the ceremony to begin.

Meghan and her mother, Cheryl, started their music planning way back in October. It’s great when you can accomplish this task early.

The trumpet sounded great with the string trio playing “Trumpet Voluntary” for Meghan’s entrance. It was very regal. Meghan’s cousin sang “One Hand, One Heart” from West Side Story for the responsorial psalm. Shubert's Ave Maria was the communion song.

The ensemble played “Wedding March” for the recessional and followed up with “All You Need Is Love” by the Beatles. At that point, the bagpiper piped guest out of the church and onto the bus headed for the Seaport Hotel reception.
